A quality product comes from a good design. Our design team work with the latest engineering tools and software to help you ensure a quality part/mould design.

Design engineering & Reverse engineering
With varied software like Solid Works and AutoCAD etc., we support multiple file formats including STEP, X_T, IGES, DXF, DWG, and SAT etc. We proceed 2D&3D mould design from the 3D part drawings provided by customers.

If a 3D part drawing is unavailable, a sample part will also do; we can create a 3D model of the part from our design studio.

In special occasions such as neither the part 3D nor a sample is available, our design group can also develop the 3D model just from customers’ rough concept or ideas.

Design Pre-study
Once receiving the final part drawings and technical data from customers, we’ll have a design pre-study to the part design and mold concept.

Any possible quality issues related with part design will be pointed out with suggested solutions and discussed with customers, such as shrink marks, short-shot, insufficient draft angles, undercut problem, etc.

Meanwhile, to proceed mold design more efficiently, before detailed more design, we usually confirm with customers the mold concept firstly including parting line, gate type & location, ejector location, slider/lifter movement, etc.

Mold-flow analysis
For some complex moulds, we perform mold-flow analysis to simulate the injection molding processes, predict and avoid potential injection molding problems at the earliest stage of product development.
